Going through Paizo’s Shackled City with characters who are all insane.
Hey u live in the exact same city as me lookin for players???
Actually, it did – currently mid-way through Drakthar’s Way and the insanity has been a good source for prodding extra roleplay. I hope to actually update this at some point, but it’s been behind other projects. Let’s see, it’s got four characters:
Anya, who can create illusions and doesn’t realize it sometimes. Also just started talking to her sword.
Amaliya Lathenmire, split personality – think like Jessica from Heroes
Mortimer, multiple personality – he’s a normal guy who has been driven to be a paladin by the voice of a dead paladin in his ear
Xander, paranoid and conspiracy theorist.
The multiple personality types actually play very differently – Mort is very aware of his and chats with it often, Amaliya doesn’t know about hers (even if the others do) and plays as a different character type (stats, etc) when she switches.
The group recently decided on a name for itself: The Council of Seven (4 people, 2 extra personalities, and a sword – though they convinced Amaliya the 7th was the construct they acquired from Gallery of Evil that I stuck between Life’s Bazaar and Drakthar’s Way)
They’re 5th level using variant 4E stats. I don’t intend to get past 10th level before the full books come out, and I expect the campaign to go into the mid 20s or so.
Did this ever get off the ground? A full party of insane characters sounds like it could be either really fun or the worst GM-headache of all time.
